Ethiopia Washed Yirgacheffe Gr. 2 – Gedeb is a single-origin coffee grown in the Gedeo Zone, in Ethiopia’s SNNP region, at altitudes between 1800 and 2200 meters. The plants grow in indigenous forest on hilly volcanic soils, an ideal environment for developing fine and complex aromatic profiles. Producer Abera Hailemariyam cultivates native Heirloom varieties, renowned for their floral and fruity elegance.
The coffee is fully washed, with 24–48 hours of fermentation in tanks and sun-dried on raised beds, a process that enhances clarity and definition in the cup. As an espresso, it offers a delicate yet juicy body and a present but well-balanced acidity. Notes of black tea with bergamot, jasmine and magnolia stand out, followed by hints of apricot, orange and caramel in the finish.
